Kore Cares Announces 2026 Care Champion Winners
Kore Cares CEO Gabrielle Hoing sat down with Keloland Living on Friday, June 12th to announce our Care Champion Recipients. We received so many nominations of deserving caregivers and nurses throughout the state of South Dakota. We are touched to know that so many out there are receiving exceptional care from these people every day! Two caregivers and one nurse stood out above the rest and were named this years’ Care Champions. Read below for more information on our winners.
Nurse:
Amanda Lynch – Amanda consistently goes above and beyond in providing exceptional care, bringing compassion, skill, and dedication to every client she serves. She is always willing to support both her teammates and the Aberdeen office, whether by becoming a CPR instructor to help train staff, adjusting her schedule to meet client needs, or taking on last-minute changes with a positive attitude. What stands out about Amanda is that she doesn't just care for her clients—she helps strengthen the entire team around her. That's leadership! Her kindness, flexibility, and commitment to delivering high-quality care make her a truly deserving recipient of our Nurse Care Champion award. Congratulations, Amanda!
Caregivers:
Patricia Roberson – Patricia is an incredible caregiver with Kore Cares who consistently goes above and beyond anything expected of her. She exemplifies compassion, selflessness, and an unwavering commitment to those she serves. She consistently provides not only exceptional assistance with daily tasks but also emotional support, encouragement, and genuine kindness that help her clients maintain their independence and quality of life. Whether stepping in to do a little extra, offering comfort during difficult moments, or simply being a dependable presence, Patricia always puts others first. Her positive attitude and lasting impact on her clients make her a truly deserving Care Champion, and we are proud to have her as part of the Kore Cares team.
Brikdania (Dani) Devries – a caregiver with Resources for Human Development, consistently goes above and beyond as a leading example to her peers and someone with a deep heart for serving others. She is always thinking of ways to improve the days of the individuals she supports as well as her coworkers, often putting in extra effort that extends far beyond her role. From late nights decorating her building for upcoming holidays to creating personalized birthday cards for each coworker and individual in the day services program, Dani makes sure everyone feels seen and valued. She also ensures that each person she supports is included, heard, and engaged in the activities they participate in, advocating strongly for their needs and opportunities. Her dedication to helping individuals get out into the community and volunteer has even been recognized by the Helpline Center with a Spirit of Volunteerism award. Anyone who knows Dani can see the positive impact she makes every day through her authenticity, warmth, and unwavering commitment to others.
