Workshop Highlights
1. Chronic Disease Self-Management Program
This workshop is for anyone living with a chronic health condition such as heart disease, arthritis, high blood pressure, or COPD. Participants will learn tools to better manage symptoms, reduce frustration, and maintain an active lifestyle. Sessions cover nutrition, exercise, medication use, and effective communication with healthcare providers.
2. Diabetes Self-Management Program
Designed specifically for those living with Type 2 diabetes, this program helps participants understand how to monitor and manage their condition day-to-day. Topics include healthy eating, monitoring blood sugar, preventing complications, and dealing with the emotional impact of diabetes.
3. Chronic Pain Self-Management Program
This workshop supports individuals dealing with persistent pain conditions. The program helps reduce reliance on pain medication and increases confidence in managing symptoms.
4. Cancer: Thriving & Surviving

5. Worksite Wellness Program

6. Building Better Caregivers
This evidence-based program is geared toward family caregivers of individuals with chronic conditions, including dementia. Caregivers gain tools to reduce stress, manage challenging behaviors, and improve communication with their loved ones and healthcare teams. It also provides a supportive environment to connect with others facing similar challenges.
7. Aging Mastery Program
This newly launched program is designed for adults looking to take a proactive approach to aging. It covers physical activity, financial fitness, sleep, healthy relationships, and community involvement. The goal is to help participants create sustainable habits that lead to improved well-being and purpose as they age.
Flexible Scheduling and Evening Options
To make participation easier for busy individuals and working caregivers, SDSU Extension is now offering evening workshop options. Whether you prefer a traditional schedule or need to attend after hours, there are times to fit your needs.
