In the summer of 2022, Kore Cares entered into a joint venture with Avera. This change has allowed us to offer home care to over 50 communities throughout South Dakota, which has been an amazing opportunity for us! One such community is Wessington Springs. We are excited to be able to serve this community with much needed care in the home.

We could not serve this community without a dedicated team of caregivers and nurses. We are looking to add to our team. We are currently looking for a caregiver willing to work 15-20 hours a week and a nurse 4-8 hours per week in the Wessington Springs area.

Some duties of our nurse position include, but are not limited to,

·        Medication set up and monitor medication compliance

·       Wound dressing

·       Assess vital signs, skin condition, nutritional status and mobility

·       Toe/nail care

·       Catheter care

·       Provide teaching/health education

·       Communicate with physician and pharmacist

 

Some duties of our caregiver position include, but are not limited to,

·       Assist client with activities of daily living that allow individuals the opportunity to stay in their home as long as possible, such as bathing, toileting, dressing and personal hygiene

·       Assist with ambulation and transfer of clients with or without adaptive equipment

·       Remind clients to take medications

·       Assist with housekeeping, transportation, and errands

·       Plan and prepare meals, assist with feeding, and assist with kitchen clean up

·       Provide socialization and companionship

·       All other duties outlined in client care plan
