Dawn - Agency Manager

My health care career began as a CNA in my home town nursing home. This is where I fell in love with health care. In that position, I learned to care for dementia patients in all stages of life which was rewarding and a challenge. After a few years, I moved which led me to a role in an assisted living. It was great to try something new and broaden my skills. While at the assisted living, I got my Medication Aid Certification. Another move led me to a hospital working overnights.

Then I landed a role in home care. It was very rewarding to me to provide care that kept elderly and disabled individuals in the comfort of their homes. I enjoyed the ability to form one on one relationship and hear all of their stories. To me, home care is the most rewarding career. In November 2022, I learned about Kore Cares and transitioned into a management role leading a team of caregivers and nurses. It is very fulfilling to lead a team that is passionate about keeping individuals in the place they call home.
