I've actually been working in healthcare since high school! I started as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) and medication aide in a long term care facility and loved working with the residents. While attending USD for a business degree in health services administration, I began working in home health care as a caregiver. I also completed an internship with the nation's largest not-for-profit senior care company and they tasked me with starting their first private duty home care agency in Sioux Falls, SD.
I was eventually promoted to the corporate office to design the business model for their private duty home care service line. In this role I wrote operations and training manuals, developed the business infrastructure and workforce model, started new agencies and consulted with existing agencies regarding human resources, marketing and sales, finances, payroll, accounting, and software training and implementation. But through it all, my focus never wavered from the people we served.
After seeing how other companies approached home care, I had a strong desire to start a company that was different. That is how Kore Cares was born. Our primary goal is to treat each of our clients and employees as people; and ultimately, as family. We want to develop relationships with our clients and be involved in their lives in a meaningful way while still providing an exemplary level of professionalism.
I live in Hartford with my husband, John, our son, Rowdy, and our puggle, Daisy. In my free-time I enjoy golfing and spending time with friends and family.
